Editorial policy

Reel and Reverie aims to make clear, careful writing about film and series. We distinguish observation from fact, check details before publication, and make our editorial choices visible to readers.

Accuracy and context

Writers check names, titles, release details, credits, and other factual claims against reliable material available to them. Interpretations are presented as readings, not settled truths. When a point depends on context, we explain what is known and avoid filling gaps with guesswork.

Independence and disclosure

Editorial decisions are made for their relevance to readers, not as a condition of a partnership. Any paid, supplied, or otherwise arranged partner material is labelled clearly where it appears. Partner placements do not promise favourable coverage, and editorial writing is kept distinct from promotional material.

Corrections

If a published page contains an error, readers can send the page title and the detail in question through the Contact page. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors, and make a note on the page when a change materially affects its meaning. We do not silently present a disputed interpretation as fact.

Images and illustrations

Images are chosen to support the subject and are handled with attention to their context and permitted use. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when used, they are identified as AI-generated. Illustrations are not presented as documentary stills or evidence from a film or series.
